The Estonian Academy of Arts is a public university providing higher education in art, design, architecture, media, art history and conservation-restoration, located in Tallinn.
The main objective of activity at the Estonian Academy of Arts is to promote creativity and research, enabling the acquirement of a contemporary higher education based on integrated study, meeting the standard of higher education in the field of fine arts, design, media, architecture, art history, conservation-restoration and teacher education.
Nearly 1,100 students are currently enrolled at the Estonian Academy of Arts and are taught by 89 professors, associate professors, teachers and lecturers from Estonia and abroad. Studies take place in small groups of carefully selected students, and the Estonian Academy of Arts prides itself on the low student-to-professor ratio.
The academy cooperates with businesses to help them meet the challenges related to product development, increase the competitiveness and value of products and services, carrying out research and providing consultation regarding procedures and industrial development. Some of the fields for cooperation include the creation of accessory collections, leather and leathercraft design, etc.
