Bauhaus DIY chain to open store in Tallinn's Lasnamae, create 100 jobs

BNS - The Germany-based do-it-yourself (DIY) chain operator Bauhaus will lay the cornerstone Friday for its store in the eastern Tallinn suburb of Lasnamae that will give work to 100 people.

The 20,000 square meter store will open its doors in April 2010 and more than 100,000 products will be on sale there, Bauhaus said.

The property is developed by the real estate developer OU Hauser-Oberschneider.

Founded in 1960, Bauhaus is a privately owned German DIY chain that runs 200 outlets in 14 countries across Europe.
