Estonian Harju Elekter's subsidiary buys car preheater rights from Siemens

BNS - Satmatic OY, a fully-owned subsidiary of the listed Estonian electrical equipment maker Harju Elekter in Finland, has bought from Siemens manufacturing and marketing rights to vehicle heating panels for car parks.

Through the transaction Satmatic, which so far made heating panels for Siemens as a subcontractor, acquired the production technology and means and the necessary know-how. The parties agreed to not disclose the price of the deal, Harju Elekter said today.

Car preheaters are used for warming up engines mainly in Finland where the annual market volume is estimated at close to 40,000 heating panels. The product has a potential market also in other Nordic countries and Russia, the company said.
