BNS - Ambient Sound Investments (ASI), a company established by the four founders of Skype, has invested into Mendeley, a company offering a free platorm for the management and sharing of research.
Together with ASI, also Stefan Glanzer, earlier manager of the well-internet web site on music, and Alejandro Zubilla, former vice-president of the Warner Group entertainment group, have invested into Mendeley.
Eileen Burbidge, investments manager of ASI, said Mendeley differed from social networking sites.
"Mendeley is not barely one of the many networks but a combination of software and web technology that solve researchers' and academicians' daily problems," she said.
The software so-to-say creates personalized research work library for its user and provides top-level search, labeling and filtration functions.
