Estonia's Smartpost to put up 100 sets of self-service postal boxes in Russia

BNS - Smartpost, the Estonian manufacturer of self-service postal boxes and manager of a network of sets of such boxes here, signed an export agreement with the Russian postal company CPCR on Monday under which 100 Smartpost sets will be put up in major Russian cities during one year.

According to the agreement, Smartpost will also set out a technical solution for CPCR for the creation of a network of self-service postal boxes in Russia, the company said.

Smartpost's network of red self-service postal boxes has been operational in Estonia for one year. The sets have been installed at major shopping centers and number 36 at this point. According to the company they were used by 65,000 people by the end of 2009.
