BNS - The inflow into the Estonian state budget totaled 6.9 billion kroons (EUR 440,9 mln) or 7.1 percent of the annual target in January.
Compared with the first month last year 12.2 percent less revenue was paid into the state budget. According to the Finance Ministry it was mainly due to the collection of reserves before the rise in excise taxes that influenced tax inflow at the beginning of last year.
In January 2008 inflow of the tax revenue totaled 7.8 billion kroons, 8.1 percent of the budget target.
Expenditures of the state budget in January amounted to 6.6 billion kroons, 6.9 percent of the target. As of the end of January the difference of the revenue and expenditures of the state budget was 246 million kroons.
Of the inflow tax revenue accounted for 5.9 billion kroons and non-tax revenue about one billion kroons. Of the tax revenue social tax made up the biggest part in January, 2.6 billion kroons or 7.5 percent of the target for 2009.
Inflow of the individual's income tax and corporate tax totaled respectively 412.4 million and 344.8 million kroons.
Inflow of value-added tax into the state budget added up to 1.4 billion kroons, 6.2 per cent of the target. Excise revenue to the tune of 897.7 million kroons was paid into the state budget in January, 8.5 percent of the annual target.
The intake on non-tax revenue in January was 972 million kroons, 4.7 percent of the budget target.
