BBN - Tehnopol, a science park in Tallinn for knowledge based companies that houses more than 150 companies, Tallinn University of Technology and IT College, has signed a contract to build the Center of Mechatronics, a combination of mechanical engineering, electronics and ICT in Tallinn.
The Center of Mechatronics will bring additional 9 000 square meters of office, R&D and laboratory space for technology based companies into the synergetic environment of Tehnopol, said the company.
This 7 million euro development project will be completed in spring 2012. The member of Tehnopol´s board, Pirko Konsa, said that the aim of the Center of Mechatronics is to create special infrastructure to bring together business, education and R&D activities that boost the international growth of electronics and machine building sector in Estonia.
